It's hard to believe it's almost 50 yrs since Graduation. To say the least, it's a life altering experience.

1st Battalion  Honor Platoon 148
23 July 1962 to 2 October 1962

Platoon Commander: SSgt. E.J. McCarthy
      JDI: Sgt. J.F. Jackson
JDI: Cpl. J Murphy (Father Murphy)
      JDI: G. C. Young

I hope that All connected with Plt.148 have lived a good, full life, as I have. Though not a career man, the lessons, HONOR & INTEGRITY, taught by those listed above have
stayed with through my life.

Even though I never went to MCRD I concider it an honor to have served with all of you.Navy boot was a bit different but certainly not easy then after Corps School was FMSS which was a wakeup call.
All I recall about my 7 years in the Navy is the 6 yrs I served with the Corps.Youre the best.I mean that with all sincerity.
